Those are absolutely beautiful.
From everything I can determine from the picture, the washer is a 1978 model, which was the first electronic Kenmore. In electronic form, there was a '78, an '80, and an '81 as Lady Kenmores, and an '82 as a Limited Edition. The '82 was available into summer/fall 1986. There was a '79 90 series, but it was not a Lady. The '78 was the only one with the 'square' box of cycle buttons and options. The 1980 model debuted the linear line of cycle options with red LED lights and 'beep' tones. The 1980 did not have a triple dispenser, however the '81 did. The '82 limited ed. got revised green LEDs. These were neat machines, and expensive too. Sears must have enjoyed the income from them. Gordon |
