Am I right in thinking that the 1000 spin had 2 buttons one of which changed the spin speed to 500?

Two Buttons.....

Im pretty sure the 1000rpm spin Z9191T model had two buttons, but only for Half Load & Cold Wash.

The 1000rpm model i have, Z9292T, has 3 buttons - Half Load & Cold Wash as per the Z9191T, but also a Spin Speed button. Default is 500rpm & pressing it in selects 1000rpm.

The Z9292T also gains concealed program guide (the powder drawer has a fold down flap with program info on). It also has the program letters & option status behind perspex rather than painted onto the facia, and the bottom of the machine has a detatchable plinth which you remove to access the filter. This was said to reduce noise abit more than the traditional filter door. Not sure if it actually makes alot of difference though.

The model on eBay looks like a Z9181 as Paul said. Could be a very good buy if the cabinet had a respray. Thankfully i didn't pay THAT much for mine!

Here's a video of mine, for comparison

It's a Z9181. But it's more like 25 years old than 20. I think they stopped making them in 1986 or 1987.

Tom.
