Does anyone think the washer is worth getting? It's only 20 miles from here and I'd even be willing to pay $50 just for the washer if it's something special.

For $50.00, you could buy the set, and sell the dryer, and have a free washer.

You can't go wrong with the washer and like Kenny/Goatfarmer said sell the dryer and have a free washer.

I bought an A806 and a DE606 for $60 about 2 years ago, so this is a pretty good deal as well.  Take the previous advice, sell the dryer and you get a solid performing washer out of the deal.

My two cents:

Gee whiz, not only that, but this seller is willing to deliver them?! To me that's like getting the appliances for free. When he gets there, just tell him to take the dryer to the Salvation Army.

Todd, I love your posts. They all bring back fond memories from all places I've been when running service for the long gone Spier's Appliance. If you'd ever wanted an old Servell gas frige or a nice old classic gas range, the outer areas around Eureka are still teeming with them!
