I have been pursuing this one for over two years now... The machine was brought out of deep storage this spring for the first time and I got a look at it way back in April. Tonight, I had a camera with me so I thought I'd grab a photo or two of it.
Here it is, a 57 Speed Queen!!

Timer dial and control panel - the lettering above and below the toggle switches is damaged. But you may not believe this - I actually have a shop manual for this washer!

Money shot! Yep, that's a stainless tub! I have been told that there is a NOS drain pump for this washer somewhere in the back of the shop and that it would be thrown in as part of the deal.

So, picture this in the corner of the laundry room in Ogden! Perhaps between the Westy set and the Inglis set!!
I have told the guy at the store that I want it this summer... Now I just have to wait for him to set a price...

I think Robert or Eddy have a version of this machine, but it's got metered fill instead of timed fill.

That's a beautiful-looking washer! My sister's husband grew up with a '57 SQ; I saw it in action a couple of times when we visited his Mom in the late 1960's.

One question: What is the agitator made of? Pot metal? Aluminum? Did the use of liquid chlorine bleach bother those?

So, congratulations on another great find. Hubby will have to learn to love it, LOL!

the fins on that agitator go all the way to the top unlike later versions. THAT IS ONE KEWL MACHINE Don't let it get away. I wish SP sold here in New England you never see them here.

I love the agitation term "Brisk" on the selector switch.
