Aquired this little gem from my local second hand shop. Going to keep my eyes peeled for the maching washer in the same place. Get it next week so post pics of actual appliance. Cost of the drier was only £40 at that. Cheap as chips.

Watch this space ....

Hi Matt and Seamus.

Your local second hand shops certainly get in some classics! Hoover 3022 and spinarinses and now a Bendix dryer (7447?).

Can wait to have agander!
Hope you are both OK.

Paul

So great to see another one of these machines saved! They really are built like tanks!

How are you getting on with yours? I got mine for just under £40 like you too, think its been one of my best and inexpensive buys to date when it comes to laundry appliances!

Ive got the older version of yours, the 7442 and totally love it :-) Ive got a few questions about yours though, which direction does it tumble in and whereabouts is the air outlet at the back ? Only wondering because mine seems to be fairly different compared to some others I've seen from the same era and just been trying to work out roughly when they changed the designs :-)

Hope you like yours as much as I do mine :-)

Rich x

The photos

The actual drier, you'll have to forgive the picture as I have a Mac laptop that seems to do what it wants and refuses to rotate the image.

Hi Richard

Hi, the drum rotation of the 7447A I can't remember but will become clear in the video that I'm going to do later this evening. As for the vent hole is located on the bottom right hand corner.

Hi Seamus and Matt.

Bloomin' heck! That machine positively gleams.
Looks in superb condition!

Really pleased that you have managed to save a 7447A as, by my reckoning, this was one of the versions that had so far eluded any of us.

Roll on the vids and again, congrats on your new acquisition.

Paul

Me being a bit of a dim-wit!

Of course, your example joins IrishMark's matching set.

Roll on you finding a 7147A as well.
