Hi my name is Jacob (you can call me Jake if you wish), and I like washing machines and dryers. I have Aspergers Syndrome and washers and dryers are my obsession. I am only 12 and my parents won't let me start a collection ( I will get one someday), and our only machines are:

Bosch Exxcel 1400 Washing Machine
Creda Simplicity T510VW Tumble Dryer

Thanks
Jacob

I have a:

Argos Catalogs and I will try to get them on the site. It will take me about a month because they, and a scanner, are at my grandparents but I am going soon.

Ecologic 800

hotpointfan's profile picture
My parents first machine was a round door Hoover Ecologic 800 in beige. I have a vivid memory of it rinsing. It died of PCB failure I think. It was replaced by the Bosch. We never had a dryer before the Creda, apart from a spin dryer.

Hi Tom

hotpointfan's profile picture
I've been looking around this site for a while know, and have come across some of your threads. I love the pics of your new Aquamatic (as well as aquarius8000's aquamatic 3). Fell free to email me about the argos books, the Dyson Controrotator cost £997!

Tom: No sadly. I tried but it wouldn't let me.

Hass: Seen your vids. Love the 1994 Hotpoint Aqua ad, especially at the end when it starts spinning.

Sadly need to go. Bye

Hehe so you found the wonders of the laundry lab eh. The word "wash in" is often used when the guys have a "wash in" party. Which is occasionally held by some of the gang on here.

Have a great day ;)

Welcome aboard Jacob! Shame you cannot start a collection now but I started off with my Candy Aquamatic 3 when I was 7! Parents were fine because I had my own shed and soon after that along came the creda spinner dated 1958 and does 2800rpm and on the 3rd of jan 11 came the wight knight conpact dryer like Tom's for £45 and after a cricket game I won a hotpoint wd61 wich will have to go but we have had great fun! Your creda is the match to mine but as it is a w/d I do not need it. pics, The wk dryer on top and candy bellow...

Welcome to the group! I too don't have a collection of my own yet since I don't have the money or the space for it, but some day and hopefully soon I'll be able to. This is a great group of people from all over the world who will answer any questions you may have and maybe even point you in the right direction when you are able to start your collection. I hope you enjoy it :)

Hi Guys

hotpointfan's profile picture
Thanks for these posts, I really feel part of it now.

Hass: Thank you for your explanation. I have found the wonders of The LaundryLab.

John: If this is your first post why not start a new member thread, I would comment on it seen as you have commented on mine?!

Chris: I went to a BBQ yesterday and they have a Zanny dryer exactly the same as yours. Have seen your thread about the Optima and you should go for it! If you are getting rid of the lovely Hottie, you know who to tell :).

Chris: Not far from Crossgates, near Seacroft.

StrongEnough78: I really hope I'll enjoy it, but I have been obsessed with washing machines and dryers for as long as I can remember.

solburian: The picture actually came of Gumtree. It is a goog machine, I think its bearings are on their way out.
