Hello nice people. What is this thing, and what do I do with it now?

Taht could be anywhere from a 1955 to 1957 Kenmore (Frog-eye as we ll it) dryer.  If it spent its whole life along the gulf coast, it's looking to be cosmetically in very good chape for its age.  Looks like it's missing the little knob to adjust the temperature on the left side.  I wonder if the little thing that displays in that tiny little windows is missing too, that would show what temperature you'd selected, warm, medium, high.

Hi appnut, yes the bit that was behind the tiny window is missing, may have fallen down inside, can't tell. Are parts available? The thing has only got a little surface rust. Looks like it might work without too much effort. Here's a closer look at the panel. Thanks for replying.

One thing in your favor, it's NOT 'electronic'.

I'd be interested in it (and I think it may be located nearby), except that I don't have gas service.  Undecided

DADoES, Judging by your internet provider, I bet you could almost see it from your driveway.

Yeah, but the no-gas aspect and the 30 machines that are already here (plus 1 stored off-site) = dilemma/problem.

It's just as well. I think my wife if starting to like it. Wonder what it'd take to find a matching washer?

If you were closer, you could have my project Frogeye washer for a song. Oh well!

Eric, I've forgotten what your frog-eye washer looks like
