Replace it

Inform the people who own the apartment about the machine and its fault. How old would this machine be?

crappy indesit

When i went to spain there was a 900rpm indesit washerdryer that wouldn't start so i rotated the drum by hand for the whole wash cycle!

Have you tried emptying the filter? My Dad had one of these in a rented property for a while and if there was anything in the filter it wouldn't spin. Try cleaning it out and give it another try

Chris: I didn't put it on a cycle. I just unplugged it and put the clothes in the drum, filled it with hot water, put in detergent and sat there, rotating the drum and used a cup to remove mucky water and put more in for a rinse. I even span it but then I found that there was a spin dryer in the cupboard!

Luke: Thanks for the emails! Will tell us what the new machine is?

Why? They're the best of the more budget machines IMO.

If the machine is distributing but not going into a full spin and then ending the cycle as normal, it could quite possibly be the filter. Zanussi's are a bugger for it. My Mums Bendix does this and, as already stated, my Dad's did. Just try draining the pump and washing the filter out and see if it works. You might be surprised.

yeh, it will do. The machine will drain, distribute and then advance through to the end of the cycle and just never quite reach full spin. Honestly, give it a try and see if it works. What have you got to lose?

Have you tough about buying a new washer or you could send a letter to the owners to complain about the broken defective washer dryer set or if you call a repair tech if fixable that you will send the reapir bill to the owners of the appartment.
