Well Mike,

It landed in the shop tuesday afternoon by wednesday morning i had sold it. I would say it's more LG - Daewoo. It just looks really classy. So similar in looks to the new Hotpoint flat fronted range but with better build quality. Who copied who i wonder? The display is very cool, forgotten item door release button, 23 Minute fast wash with a 1200 spin. Not overly long wash times on cottons. I have ordered more to come in. I am still trying to get to grips with my new camera that's why the pics look curved mike.

Samsung bought the Amica washing machine plant a little while ago in Poland.

I don't have a Hotpoint Ultima Extra Tom I got rid of it some time ago. I run a Servis M6854W. No vids of the Hotpoint sorry.
In regards to the Amica, I have an Amica dishwasher I bought earlier this year. It's on 1-2 times a day and is really good. Chinese made but Indesit/Ariston design inside which is why I got it as I know it will clean pots&pans well where my previous machines (LG, Zanussi) have fallen short

Darren,

That Amica really was one classy machine. Plus it was as cheap as chips. I was really tempted to treat myself to it until i sold it! Anything new like this the first thing i do is take the lid off & examine it & i was well impressed with the build quality.

Hey optima

The amica is very similar to the first Samsung I had with the oval door 6kg 1200 b1425 or something like that I forget. The angled paddles really showered the load and were very good. The drawbacks were every programme seemed the same just with adjusted spin speed when it eventually span. I got rid of it after 3 weeks because it took 20minutes to balance for an intermediate spin! Shame as I liked the wash & rinse performance.

I like how the amica has a door release button a favourite of mine not found on many machines now. Obviously due to cost.

Do you know what the programme times are like?

Darren

Nice looking machine, very stylish.

Darren,

Look again, the yellow button is not the door release. You must have missed the Bosch like door handle.
