In wanting to be sure of the date of this machine, I googled Western Auto Stores. I found the interesting information I have put in the Link below. Anyway, since it was a 50th anniversary model and the business was founded in 1909, that makes this a 1959 model which is approximately where you would place it given the picture.

Now, the ad mentioned two cycles, but not two speeds. I find that interesting because to Sears and many other manufacturers, esepcially by 1959, two speeds were everything in selling washers. Yes, the ad says that the two cycles scrub regular fabrics and caress delicates, but they do not mention 2 speeds. I wonder why.
