Help! I have to find a home for this Maytag A206 washer paired up with a DE306 dryer, the sooner the better... The washer is in decent shape, but does sometimes not start up at 'regular' speed. I get around that by stopping the machine, setting it to gentle speed, starting it, stopping it again, then setting it to regular speed. It washes great!
Dryer was pretty much torn down and rebuilt; I added a red pilot light and I replaced the felt door seal with a NOS one.
Here's the best part - they are free!
Please contact me if interested.

WOW! Can't beat that deal...sounds like the de-accessioning pressure is on! I'd be game, Paul, if we can figure out logistics... I'd like to buy the Pank Friggie DW too if it becomes available.

Are you planning to get something else there?!

Roger, won't you get Steve's Turquoise Frigidaire dishwasher? Paul is supposed to trade this one to me...

Paul, do you know when?

Understood that, and why I said "if" it becomes available...note the background I chose when I joined up here just happens to be a pink Friggie. Phil, you want a nice pink GE wall oven to go with it? Paul got a good gander at it last weekend. Will try to post a pic here. Paul, check went out this AM.

Oh, and I sadly decided to pass on that aqua DW, it will go in the kitchen as a user, the wife just flat out rejects the idea of that color, despite all my bleating & pleading, and I even tried bribing her with shoes, her great weakness, Jimmy Chu... but no go. I want original paint, as with old cars, so suppose I'll have to just keep looking for a nice clean original... she's ok with just about anything else: white, stainless, coppertone, yellow, and even pink. Pink and Coppertone are my personal favorites, the GE pink wall oven was going to go in the camp until we found the NOS never used Copper plated Chambers In-A-Wall Oven out in Indiana.

Chris

Chris - it's a term one sees on eBay a lot NOS or 'New Old Stock'.  It means that I found the original part, in brand-new condition, even though it has long been unavailable.  Yep, they're still out there...

No chips in the porcelain, inside or out it's like new as Paul will attest:

A206

My exact childhood washer. Hopefully a good home will be found.

Good luck,
James
