You all know I love some of you more than my luggage, but am finding it difficult to keep up with request from all and sundry (some of whom I've never even heard of here in the group), for Hoover TT repair information. Apparently an Internet search or other means of reading archived information here has spread the word.

Have never minded lending hand/looking up reference to fellow members, but ....

So here is what I propose. When I have some down time taking the entire Hoover service/parts list book to Kinkos and have them copy out the proper pages to make a mini Hoover TT service/parts book. Costs for copies would depened upon final costs with perhaps something for my time/efforts. Mind you there are quite allot of pages in these sections all double sided.

As one does not own a scanner cannot post such a section to our fearless leader in order to create a section for members only.

Thoughts?

TIA

Launderess

I, too would like a copy.

You might be able to have Kinkos scan it onto a disc or .pdf format file that you could share more easily via email or the service section of the club, I'd contribute to that expense as well.

Thank you for your club-kindness.  Kiss

Don't feel shy about charging for time and effort, especially from cold inquiries. You have a resource that is otherwise unvailable. Something for which there is evidently demand. It's unfair to you to be expected to drop whatever you're doing and supply it free or at cost to total strangers.

Hoover TT Manual

This is a great idea and I certainly would gladly pay for the information. I have searched and searched for information such as this for my 0512 and it's not out there.

This would be most wonderful. How new does the manual go? is it only the rounded bodies (3xx-5xx) or does it cover the T series from the mid-70's and up? Either way count me in, I was just curious about the age of the manual.

Thanks

-Tim

Thanks For The Kind & Understanding Responses

Have put the project on my to-do list!

MacBoy91si: The manual only covers parts and service for Hoover TT's such as mine (without autorinse, the early models), the Hoover washer with attached wringer, and the Hoover branded (but built by someone else) automatic washer and dryer.

Guess the original owner of this book never bothered updating his files to cover later model twin-tubs.

Once again thank you everyone for understanding. Am always willing to lend assistance to a fellow group member, but those email requests from total strangers were becoming a bit too much. Most don't even bother with "Hello", how they found out my email addy much less know I have a Hoover service/parts manual, or any other kind politeness. No they go straight to the main event! *LOL*

Quite honestly am not going to Xerox and post >15 pages more or less out of the kindness of my heart. Well probably would if one caught me on a good day and or had the *right* sort of story, but still! *LOL*

Since I have this new and powerful computer with tons of memory space that came with Adobe Acrobat PDF file creator, may look into purchasing a multi-feed duplex scanner so can skip Kinko's all together and bring the cost down a bit.
