I had taken some pictures at the convention at Johns warehouse. Here are some closeups of that machine.

year??

Did anyone mention the ear this machine was made. Was it around 1957 or 58?

My parents had an Imperial Mark XII, which I think was a 1960 or 1961 machine. The tub and agitator look virtually identical.

It seems this was a very solidly designed machine as it lasted through the seventies or maybe even the early eighties. Am I correct on this, that this basic design lasted until the direct drives were introduced?

These are WPs TOL 1956 machines, stay tuned as these are going to be rebuilt in the end of September.

The belt drive WPs were made from 1947-early 1987, [ 40 years ] the Direct Drives made there \appearance in 1982 and are about to go out of production if they haven't done so already [ 29 years ].

Rebuild!

I'll look forward to seeing the rebuild. If possible, might I request detailed shots of centerpost bearing replacement and transmission rebuilding?

Great machine,
Dave
