I was assuming it would have to be a seperate unit next to the dryer. but it seems it should be possible, if one had the schematics of a condenser unit to go by... |

I have already pulled together some of the equipment that I am going to use to convert a 1967 KM electric dryer [ with electronic moisture sensor ] to a heat pump clothes dryer. I am using the refrigeration system salvaged from one of these nearly useless portable AC units. There will be a separate unit that will be installed either next to or maybe above the dryer, if above I will not have to use a drain pump or water collection container as the water can just flow into a sink or nearby drain. I hope to work on this later this year. I will keep everyone posted about it when it is up and running John. |
