Hi All,
I just purchased a home and it came with the Kenmore Portable dryer pictured here.
I have been searching everywhere to find more info on this. I have the model number 110.7208301W and serial # can anyone tell me what year this dryer is from?
Thanks!

1972? that is my guess.

I was able to call Kenmore and found a technician there who confirmed that it is a 1972 by the serial number. Anyone interested in this? I have to get rid of it and would rather someone who appreciates it has it.

I have a 1983 looks very similar. And the model number goes "110-83..." so yeah yours is 72. Evidently the portables didn't undergo much evolution, and why should they? Mine has a 'start' button on the left. The instruction tag says "press knob or start control depending on model" so yours must start with the knob and they didn't even change the tag.

Yeah mine only has the turn knob and the time increments are labeled 1/4, 1/2, 3/4... It still turns on but I have not attempted to dry anything in it yet.

Who cares about the darn drier? That kitchen! IT's wonderful! hopefully you'll keep the steel cabinets and that YELLOW. With coffee brewing, it will wake you up like the sun.

Marks right......I see a matched 806 Maytag in harvest gold, in the kitchen no less, and a vintage coffeemaker and toaster.......a single door fridge and a 40 inch stove.....we could all picture it in a heartbeat!

you have a million dollar kitchen there, just waiting to go retro!

At first I was a little nervous about the cabinets ~I am not going to lie. But the longer I am in the house the more I am starting to love them :) The amount of storage is unbelieveable. Thanks for the input :)

Hey is the machine a 110 volt dryer? I might have a home for it.

I think it is a 120 volt..... I will post a pic. I would love for this dryer to go to someone that appreciates it. It still works I tried it yesterday :)

They are identified as "110" but even when they were made "110" was really 120 and I can tell you they work perfectly and reliably at 120.

120 OR 240 VOLT COMPACT KM DRYER

combo52's profile picture

It says right on the model tag behind the door whether it is 120 volts or 120-240 volts. The latter is for 240 volts only the 120 part just meant that the motor and timer motor operate on 120 volts. Note the model # on all WP built KM laundry appliances begins 110. and this has nothing to do with what voltage the machine operates on.
