Always been about the DESIGN for me: cars, house, everything... so gravitate to the wild looks of the Control Towers - are these impossible to find? I'd love a washer at least, if not a pair, in good cosmetic condition...if they can be found. Any leads guys? The "Farm" is gone, alas :-(

They....

Are NOT impossible to find, but be prepared to shell out some BIG bucks!

Control Towers

No. Just start hanging out with this guy named Graham.

He goes to an auction in a mudddy barn and walks out with like two or three of them.

Wasn't that how it went, Graham?

Ya I saw Jon's pair on the furnace thread the other day and got me to thinking about them, always thought they were cool. I was starting school when they were new and remember that weird thing sticking up on top... I'd probably go for some other design-y machines as ,like a 60s Frigidaire Clamshell or Westy Clamshell or something else similar, if any are out there. I never see that sort of thing here in the Southern Tier of NY, you'd be lucky to find a 70s avocado GE set.
