hi, i am new to this site, throughout my childhood, I have been fascinated by automatic washers/washer dryers and other appliances. My nan owned a Hotpoint 9517, and hotpoint is my favourite vintage appliance brand!

I have heard of the 97.. range and I am interested to know what the 9777 looked like and/or its formal name was E.G. Electronic 1000 super, Electronic 1000 De Luxe.
If you have any photos please do share some, it would be great to get to know everyone!

Cheers, Brandon

I think the 97XX machines were exclusives, but dont have my spreadsheet so cant check for certain.

Just remembered that I have my memory stick with me!

Have just checked for the 9777 and unfortunately I dont have a picture of it. From the 97XX machines, i only have photos of the 9770, 9773, 9774, 9775 and 9776.
as there wasnt a model 9771 or 9772, the only one I am missing is of the 9777.

I can tell you though that it was a Currys exclusive and was based on the 9578, a photo of which is attached below.

sorry!
Paul

thanks paul! hotpoint are a very good make, especially the 95/97/99 series, I heard you had a 95452?
how long did it last for? were the exclusive machines only made for certain shops or were they sold in Electricity Board Shops as well?

cheers!
Brandon
