i was watching a video of a hotpoint ultima spin cycle, it seems, hotpoint have finally improved distribution and spin cycle im very impressed where as before with the older version it used to just continue to distribution then go into a spin which 70% of the time resulted in a unbalanced load, what do u think?

i prefare the old distribute/spin/distribute/spin method as found on the older ones and the method ariston and indesit used for years.

Dave, I agree - the new distribution is much better. It seems to be less fussy than previous models. Looking at these video's, I'm impressed with the new machines - the wash rhythms seem like a vast improvement with faster, longer tumbles. Time will tell on reliability.

I'm very impressed with the new range even more so after I saw these videos when the owner uploaded them.

I can't decided weather to get another aqualtis or the 10kg ultima with the really nice chrome door!!

@newwave1 & aquacycle

i also like the new ultima 10 kg & the 11kg aqualtis these new hotpoint machines seem very promising, but for some reason, ive got my eye on the new aqualtis 11kg when i already have 9kg aqualtis in perfect working order its nearly 2yrs old now im thinking of selling it just to get an upgrade but is it worth the hassle?

I'm in the same boat...

I can justify it because the motor on mine is no longer silent, sounding rather worn out and it's only 1200...

Decisions decisions!

The 10KG ultima is certainly good-and it has the Titanium drum and Chrome door as in that video.
I want Hotpoint to bring a 9KG steam Ultima out though, with 9KG, Titanium Drum, Chrome door and a few additional Cycles, instead of cottons 40, 60, 90-these days every machine just has simply 1 cottons programme, and adjust the temperature to get longer/shorter wash.
The dryers have a cuddly toys wash, so would love them to add this to a washer too.

Anyway they are good videos, I just hope this person uploads more videos, and final spin. & Cottons wash, to see if that rhythm really is used on all cycles, not just Bed + Bath (7 days)
