Hi there years ago I repaired a servis outer tub, sand it down and use something like finnigans number 1 primer then a couple of coats of hammerrite , it should last a long while. Wow you must have hard water down there , ours is so soft you never get any scale in the kettle never mind washer !

Mathew Take a look at this pic of my Indesit 092. I gave the area a light sanding, treated it with Kurust and finished off with Pratley's Putty. I then sanded the putty to the shape of the drum. You can then apply some Hammerite, although I never bother with that. |
