Should be fine.....

The known problem with Hotpoint/Indesit drum's failing was on their slightly older models.

If you manage more than 2.5 years without the electronics or bearings going on the WML then you'll be doing well, but i doubt it'll explode. They'd be mad to have not corrected that fault by now, so don't worry.

Well you was probably better with the Hotpoint if I am honest.
Beko are much cheaper than Hotpoint.
The drum was fixed in the newer Hotpoint machines.

Mark,

Congrats on the new machine. Regardless of the above comments, Beko have been getting a pretty decent reputation for themselves around these parts, and I have nothing but good words to say about them. They remind me a lot of old Hotpoints - decent washers, cheap on parts, easily repairable should anything go wrong and certainly no reports of exploding drums *touchwood*. They definitely seem to be the best of the lower priced machines.

May I ask why you keep sharing a link to Hotmail on your posts, btw?

Beko seem to have a better rep than Hotpoint for washers, while Hotpoint have been trading on past rep for years. They may well be getting better again now, certainly reports indicate that the newer ones are better built.

Anyway, if the machine was dented on delivery, I'd have rejected it unless getting a discount for it.

And, just me being picky, but is it so difficult for everyone to do a quick read of their posts to make sure it makes sense before hitting post? :)

Grrrr.

Can you stop posting the link to you Hotmail account. It's annoying me, possibly more than it should be!

Cheers.

How did that happen? No damage to the dryer by the looks of it! Oh dear, I will use mine carefully then!

C'mon!

If that'd been on fire for two hours there wouldn't be much of the house left, let alone the plastic dryer door still being intact. I can't imagine it was much of a blaze, looking at the machine.

It's quite an old one aswell, my Mum's work has one identical to it & it's at least 5 years old. I reckon there was abit of smoke and the woman stood there wafting an old newspaper around for an hour & a half without actually achieving anything, then the machine might finally have caught fire, but i can't see it myself.

I don't think i'll be worrying about White Knight dryers as a result of that!

Liam
