There was someone on here who just was trying to sell a 1992 vintage GE Filter-Flo, but it had an issue with not spinning or something. I think he just sent it to the dump. Craigslist is probably your best bet. Good luck! |

Doug, that programmed GE is located at The Campbell Center for Historic Preservation Studies in Mt. Carroll, IL and is available for very very cheap. Let me know if you are interested in it, as they would love to get rid of it.

Dayum! You're almost as fancy as Jane Wyatt with her Lady Kenmores in that ad. Do you have a pair of gardening gloves you could add as props? I think her gloves were pink, not that your gloves need to be any particular color. |

Why yes, I have many pairs of gardening gloves. They are all buff colored leather, however, and many have holes in them now from pruning the roses etc. I have learned the hard way that gardening (especially digging in the dirt) can be very hard on the hands, without gloves.
The washer was in the garden largely because I had moved it from the main house to the workshop for storage, but brought it back out to hook it up to a garden hose in the courtyard for demonstrating its wash action. At the time the workshop wasn't set up for inlet water and drain water for washing machines. Now it is, sort of, cold water only and a drain tub that might not hold a full drain from a big top loader. But it works fine for the Mieles back there, which are capable of heating their own water and don't drain more than 10 gallons or so at a time. In the courtyard I simply drained the wash water into a plant border. I admit the photo of the washer up against the shrubbery is pretty nice... lol... |

I'd like to, but the washer is in a position in the workshop where it can't be hooked up to water and drainage, and it would take a lot of moving of a lot of stuff to get it outside for a courtyard session.
Sooner or later I'll have to clear out the workshop and work on providing water/drainage for all the washers. But that might be a few years in the future... |
