I loved these washers. A reversing WH was such a novelty. I wondered why WH could not offer the reversing tumble feature for home use. There was a coin laundry that opened in the early 70s on Piedmont Rd in a strip mall behind the Awful Waffle that had all WH equipment, even the dry cleaners which looked so much like the combos with the trapezoidal window. The big 50# machines were Milnors. This washer was neat because it lacked suspension but had a door boot that was maybe 2 inches deep and during tumbling, small items could land on it and not readily fall back into the tub because the boot did not flex. Whatever landed on it had to depend on being picked up or knocked down by something larger tumbling past. In those heady, energy-bountiful days, you could get all warm rinses if you wanted. The lightweight plastic door and electric door latch were neat and novel at the time also.

Neat WH Washer

This is such a cool machine. It's got a nice simple but aggressive look and it has an interesting feature set. I was going to ask if it was a bolt-down and I see now that it is. I'm not familiar with Westinghouse products really, but they sure made some neat stuff here and there. I'm starting to want one...

Ald

This is the first commercial sized washer I've seen under the Westy name, and I'm not sure whether those models ever had matching large drying tumblers. I understand that in the earlier days, Westy made commercial machines under the Ald name (ie Aldwash, Aldry). Gary

Pardon, I usually get attached pics but I don't see a pic or a link to one. Am I doing something wrong?
