OK, Where in the hell are you guy's finding all this stuff? What's the method? I mean come on guy's! All these cool finds lately. Those Pink ABC's are killing me! I'm half tempted to walk through downtown Indianapolis naked with a billboard saying, "VINTAGE WASHERS & DRYERS WANTED" and just maybe I could get a damn response. Any tips?

Not sure about vintage appliances, but for quite allot of other things, the people to know are those involved in real estate/home construction/renovation. So many homes are being sold, especially by older folks cashing in on sky high housing prices these days. Many times people either leave stuff behind because they are moving to smaller digs and or new owners just rip out everything and chuck it to the curb. Cannot tell you how many fleaBay auctions I've seen with "found this in a house we just bought/are renovating/etc".

Scout around for homes for sale and if you really have nerve make an appointment to take a look. While you are "in" scope out appliances and ask if they are being sold with the house. You "may" be able to strike a deal to get the appliances. Make up some classy business cards for handing out to real estate/construction persons informing them what you are looking for. Don't appear over eagar or something someone considered "worthless trash" may all of sudden become worth $$$.

Just my two pence

Ben, you're right, as usual.

How could I forget the Frigidaire, uhm, frigidaire? ;)

Beth, you don't need a washer anyway. Just keep buying new clothes!

That's a good tip Austin - as Beth Ann's taste applies to their 'museum' of GM's best.

Veg - does that mean you get to tag along while she buys the new clothes? Did I hear an Amex getting swipped? :)

Ben

HI Bethann:

I will try to help if I can. What are you looking for? I know you like pink, right?

Perhaps some of the members will sell a few or at least one!? I know that I have spoken to a few folks and they are wanted to make some room etc for other machines and need to sell some.

Let me know.

Steve

Don't get excited, boys. It's not a washer at all.

It's that butt-ugly pocketbook she likes so much.
