This past weekend my 2002 Whirlpool washer/ dryer -TOL- aka crap ....bit the dust...my sister bought this set for me as a house warming present back in March 2002....THANK GOD...I had my 1987 Whirlpool set that my mother had given me several months ago.....I moved the 2002 set out and cleaned up 1987 set and it started up as if it was brand new....

PS....I TURNED 50 TODAY....and did not have to go out and buy some more plastic junk line my 2002 set....Thank goodness for vintage washers /dryers....

Completely Agree!

I am in the process of searching for a 'vintage' washer/dryer pair...because my nearly 2 year old Samsung Front-loading pair ARE crap....and have already been completely taken apart and repaired by my husband and I three times. I heard wonderful things from our local appliance repair shop--about speedqueens! I still dream of a gorgeous vintage westinghouse set!! In PINK!

:)

Happy birthday to you. The older kenmore and whirlpool (belt drive) are the best.

vintage machines

Happy birthday,I just turned 50 also.Definately find yourself a nice bd pair as they are plentiful and easy to restore.I have a 57 kenmore I use all the time and all I did was put a pump in it and off it went after 35 years.
