I have a question the mom of my brother 's girlfriend ask for my advice she is going shoping for a new front load washer actualy she as a kenmore unit that was made by fridgedair she wents to replace her front load washer but since its a stack unit she do not went to replace her dryer but i did advise that she looks for a match set because she wents to change her washer but keep her actual dryer but i did advise her to look into the canadian speed queen front load model this model to be precise or into the fridgedair brand my question for the fridgedair expert is if she has the model made by kenmore is like the one in older fridgedair washer with the mech kn ob are these models still avalble as she wents to use her same stacking kit and will she be able to stack her dryer on a newer washer if she wents to keep her old dryer? And the reason she is replacing her washer is failed berings and she did check for a repair but it would cost to much to repair. Thank you in advance for all info

The stack sets will also install side by side if she has the horizontal space. I have a BOL Frigidaire FL from 1998 and it has had no problems.

The line becomes blurred when you specify brands. For example, F'daire is a brand of White so why would W'pool be selling them? See? You can't answer that any more than I can. And my F'daire also sold under 2 other brand names, including GE. From what I can tell, it's not a White design in the first place, but something from Europe.

You're right to want a clockwork timer. The digital nonsense is nothing but trouble.

Speed Queen

She is not going to be able to place the Frigidaire dryer on top of the Speed Queen washing machine. They are two different animals. The stacking kit wont help you.

Unfortunately, Alliance doesn't sell the Speed Queen brand in Canada. I wish they did.

Instead, you have to buy Huebsch, which is identical and from the same company.
Here's a good place to start: home.huebsch.com/products/...

... and here's the dealer locator: home.huebsch.com/contact/locator/...

She'll have to be patient though. I had to wait five weeks for my ZFN50R. I've got my dryer on order now, it'll be here in ten weeks because it's not a commonly ordered model. (The ZDG4BR)

My washer set me back $1900 and the dryer will set me back $850. .. both are TOL.
