Hello here is a long shot I know but does anyone know anything about the Miele PW6065 series washer?

I need to know if it can be altered from 30 amp to 15 by removing a heater as its not required to be so fast?

How do you reprogram the cycles to be whats needed instead of the default ones...?

I know nothing but questions but have searched for info and I think the folks here are more knowledgable...:)

Oh and how can it be switched off when finished with if you cannot reach the switch on the wall?/

Why Not Just Contact Miele Directly?

For one imagines you're going to need very detailed information regarding the internal wiring to make changes regarding frequency required for operation, disabling heaters and so forth.

Off the top of one's head know most modern Miele washers have very sophiscated programing and if the computers sense something is out of parameters the machine may not work properly if at all.

As for programming/changing cycles that maybe the easiest of your queries, but again even getting into the system you may not find the choices wanted are listed and or will work.

Miele PW6065 ='s Miele Little Giant Washer

For North America well Canada at least the washers are 208v,60hz,20amp, three phase power. Machines ship with cord but not a plug and Miele recommends using a resdiual current device (RCD) rated for 30amps.

Miele furhter states the washer must only be connected to the electrical requirements as stated on data plate affixed to the unit. To covert to a different electrical connection Miele directs one to examine the conversion manual located inside the washer, however all work must be done by a qualified Miele technican.

Now if this means the unit can run on 15amp service one does not know. It maybe very well that the motor requires 20-30 amp power and not just heaters.

Thing Requires Lots Of Juice

Takes two (2) 20amp fuse connections and pulls nearly 4kW of power.

Wish you the best of British luck with Miele and their call out charges. They are always dear it seems no matter where on this earth one is located.

Miele engineer no longer needed !

ozzie908's profile picture
All sorted it was already configured for 13amp supply,
It seems all you have to do to it is remove one of the heater connections on the relay and it happily works on one instead of the two which is what draws the power its in and working I put it on a cottons hygiene wash with just Ariel powder its already rinsing..! Not used to a machine thats so quick no messing or faffing around warming up a bit at a time it just gets the job done...!

Good Ol Miele..:)

Some Older Miele Washers

Sold for domestic use could also be rewired to use only one heater "leg" thus cutting power drawn by half. Makes sense really especially if one has decent hot water supply and or does not require taking cold water to boiling quickly all the time.

THE HEATER

YOU'LL have to tell me what to disconnect..... my New Little Giant has already blown the fuse 2x (and that JUST on its first "Commissioning" wash!! 5 minutes is all I can get out of it! At least its working now!

You will be amazed at how simple this is to fix...

ozzie908's profile picture
first off remove the lid and looking at the machine from the front you will see on the right there is a tray with all the wiring etc in.

Midway up near to the suspension spring you will find 2 plugs on the board with 2 rather thick wires on if yours is the same as mine remove the plug with 2 black wires and you should be good to go !

Contact direct if you need any further assistance.
