I'm the Dave with whom you spoke on the phone. We've got some good folks here who should chime in with something useful. In the mean time, try using the forum search to read up on prior 1-18 work.

Welcome to AW.org,
Dave

if it's a main tub seal

they are available at partselect.com. i have a 1-18 i completely tore down and rebuilt several years ago. my leak was the tub seal itself. i live in cincinnati and am pretty good with frigidaires, having 7 of these machines in various states of repair, most of them being the earlier solid tub models. you can e mail me direct if you like. i can look up that part number for that tub seal. price is about 40 bucks if i recall.
