Best way to describe would be the button is stuck in the "pushed" position. If the timer is set and the door is closed, the dryer will run until you either turn the timer selection to "off" or open the door. Thanks. |

The start button is a child safety feature in case a child opens the door when the dryer is running and either climbs in or throws something in. It will keep the dryer from restarting when the door is closed again until the start button is pushed again. You may be able to leave the dryer in this condition if you feel that their is no likelihood that children will play with or around the dryer. |
