I'm looking for a '70s era Frigidaire 1-18 in good working order; color doesn't matter. Preferably here in the Southeast. Anybody have one to sell?

My two cents worth

And I have to add to this post as well -- anything in Northern California? I'm on the hunt and not particular about color or working condition, either!

My aunt had a white 1-18 in her garage until this past week. It was taken out of service this past fall. I rebuilt a Maytag set for her to replace the 1-18. The 1-18 is white, works fine, has has a new fill valve, and belt.(replaced by my uncle, not by me.) The cabinet needs painted. It does not have a window lid. The control panel is ok. I think it is a 1975 model. I just called her, and she donated it to St.Vincent De Paul Store in Fort Wayne this past week. The address is 1600 S. Calhoun Street Fort Wayne Indiana, and the phone number is 260-456-3561. I would think they would hold it for you, if you paid for it by phone via credit or debit card. I am sure they won't want much for it, as it is so old. They are open Monday-Friday, and Saturdays, but not on Sunday. I would have posted something on the site about this machine last fall, but my aunt had said she was going to give the machine to her daughter. I guess the daughter did not want it.
If someone wants this, you better hurry. It is an old machine, and this thrift store may simply scrap it. In fact, if they say they do not have it on the sales floor, ask them to check in the back.
