So our KD-67 front load portable leaks like a sieve at the hose-to-faucet connector, and now the progeny is resorting to the lazy but expedient method of draping a wash cloth over it to direct the stream down into the sink rather than washing down the wall each time, wasting a lot of hot water in the process... it seems to be the washer-O-ring inside the spring loaded connector is defective, is this a unique KA part? Where to get one?

Roger, I don't know if they are still available at appliance repair stores, but you may be able to find a rebuild kit for this kind of coupling.  They may also be out there on eBay, too.

Thanks for that info Paul!
I replied to your pink oven inquiry over on Super - it's waiting for you in VT!

What about...

Replacing it with a New coupler from let's say... Like a Portable Kenmore or Whirlpool ?  I'm sure you could get a whole new assembly and "Retro Fit" to the KA ?  Just a thought.

Thanks for the suggestion, might be a good idea if I can't find the right O-ring or whatever is defective... is there a good source for brand new couplers? I 'always had the best luck ordering parts from Sears... they used to have a Regional Parts Depot right here in Binghamton where you could get real help and pick parts up in person, but they closed it 2-3 years ago... :-(

That's what passes for progress these days. The easiest way to eliminate complaints about customer service is to stop providing it.
