So we are visiting the US from Australia, currently in Palm Springs. Been in to Sears to check out the appliances. A sea of multi coloured front load washers. No Maytags though which was interesting. All the TL washers now have the pulsator in the bottom of the tub. A few trad agitator models but seem to be the cheaper washers on the market.
Saw an interesting add for a show coming up on TLC, my crazy obsession. I so hope we get this show in Aistralia. A member from automaticwasher is featured, you know who's you are.... Can't wait to see that show. Cheers guys Simon |

The California desert is fine for some, but one must experience the green, majestic (and damp) redwoods of northern California! Oh, forgot to mention, there's a line up of vintage washers & dryers in there...unfortunately, the photo barely includes a couple of stunted redwoods in the upper left corner.

OK, so we leave USA today but have made contact with Kevin and are very exitied to be paying him a visit this afternoon in LA to check out his collection. North California sounds fantastic, proably more like Blue Moauntains area in New South Wales where we live. Palm Springs is a dificult place to be leaving, it is so incredable here. Mind you vacationing in a place is one thing, living and working is another I guess. We get very hot weather in Sydney but more humid and quite changable, not sure I would cope well with such high temps in the summer in Palm Springs and the day after day of hot sunny weather...
BTW I got another GE Filter Flow from EBay, it has the mini basket included, hope to pick it up on the weekend when we get back to Sydney. Will post some pictures Cheers Simon |
