Anybody looking for a BD, Whirlpool?  Tulsa CL has the following listing.  From the picture following, is that a filter or what on the R side at top of tub?

Another Pic

May be worth pursuing if someone is looking.

Yes, that's a lint filter. I forget what it's called, but it has bumps that trap the lint. That kind was easier to clean than Magic Mix filters (you needed a comb for them), but I didn't like it nearly as well.

That's a 1985 model, with the sloped control panel without the tip on the top. Most of their machines by then were the 2.8 cu. ft. super capacity models. I remember looking at Circuit City for washers in 1986 and didn't see any of these standard tub models. Had I known they were in production, and with a manual filter...I bet I would have bought one.

Looks like a great one!

that filter is hardly a bed of nails...........try more of a sawtooth ripple, maybe 6 rows, just to catch the big stuff, like threads.......worthless, but nice drama effect

That washer is a standard capacity machine. My sister had this model and it was the last belt drive standard capacity machine Whirlpool built. The filter is a maze type bed of nails-ish filter. Great machine. And yes it's 1985 -1986 time frame.

Nice find. A standard capacity tub with standard surgilator was pretty rare by the mid 1980s, especially on a 29 inch washer. Hope somebody grabs it.

Have a good one,
James
