Yes, that's a lint filter. I forget what it's called, but it has bumps that trap the lint. That kind was easier to clean than Magic Mix filters (you needed a comb for them), but I didn't like it nearly as well. |

That's a 1985 model, with the sloped control panel without the tip on the top. Most of their machines by then were the 2.8 cu. ft. super capacity models. I remember looking at Circuit City for washers in 1986 and didn't see any of these standard tub models. Had I known they were in production, and with a manual filter...I bet I would have bought one.
