Hello Lee
so this is why you have been quiet well if you like you towels and jeans rock hard and crunchy you will love this ;-) in my early days of leaving home i had one of these and an Electra washing machine (zanussi) it span at about 475 rpm, i was pleased to be able to dry clothes as hard and crunchy as they came out of this I would go for Flatley as far as i know they were the only makers and all others were badged up for various companies though Chestermike will know better as he has been around more than me. Fluffy, i bet it will smell great when you switch it on that is if you havent already :-) I nice challenge for you there, and well done to your dad for bringing it to your attention. Gary |

Alright Gary
You see I thought a flatley had wooden rods across the top with grooves at the edges to fit them into, which is why I’m a bit suspicious of this one, having those metal rods. I like hard and scratchy towels, bet the room it’s in when switched on and loaded with fresh laundered cloths will smells nice and fresh, never mind the condensation running down the walls and windows. Yes I bet it will smell when it’s switched on for the first time, I haven’t yet, no plug on the cable; I managed not to do the very unusual, twist the ends of the wires and insert into the power socket with the odd screwdriver securing them in place trick, the life insurance isn’t up to date. I’m pondering about the paint; I will have to make sure it is heat resistant and also the fitting of some sort of over heat protection to make it safer if it is used I was thinking of a 100C stat as most tumble dry over heat stats are around the 160C mark.
