I was reading reviews on washers at homedepot & lowes dot com the other day; I noticed when you add a washer to the cart it tells you to purchase hoses because they do not come with the washer. One reviewer said in his/her review that they didn't understand why (at checkout) it said that you needed to buy the hoses because when they receieved the washer, the hoses were part of the washer purchase - so they now had extra hoses. I'm trying to remember if I had to buy hoses for my duet.....I think it came with hoses but not sure.

I still include new hoses and the correct cord on every new & used appliance I sell. A package of 2 5ft inlet hoses costs me $8.50 and I buy in bulk. It is an advantage for me, the little guy, to include hoses while the big boys (lowes et al) charges for them. It does kill my profit margin and it ticks me off that I have to include the hoses so the manufacturer can save a few bucks. The price of cords keep going up as well. The cheapest 3 prong dryer cord costs me about $3.90 and a 4 prong runs about $5.20. |
