that washer is featured in a post just a few threads down;the "holy grail washer" thead.would be a nice addition to any washer collection!Appears to be almond,so likely late-'70s era. |

John, these weren't Custom Imperials anymore! In 1979, the Custom Imperial line was downgraded to MOL, it didn't have features like extra-rinse or a lighted console like the previous year's model did.
The Elite was the new name for TOL Frigidaire appliances for the final GM year, and unfortunately, mostly associated with the WCI (White Consolidated Industries) stuff that came after! And the 1979 Elite had a new control panel but it had the same features as the previous year's WIC-A and still less features than the 1976 and older 3 speed WCI (I mean Washer Custom Imperial this time!) models like the one you have.
BTW, if you have a chance to email me some pictures of your Frigidaire washers (those you might sell and those that are not for sale!) I'd really enjoy to see them and maybe one of your '67 fridge with A.I.S. too!
Here's a set of 1979 Custom Imperials. This post was last edited 03/04/2012 at 15:16 |
