A good friend had mentioned that he had an old washer without a wringer in his attached barn. Curious, I wanted to see it and it was this same Easy, BUT his wife had drove her SUV into the wash tub and cracked the wash tub bad . Disappointed, I said it may be salvagable for parts as the tub was beyond repair. She decided to get the kids to drag it out for the town cleanup and someone got it. Some people just dont get it.

I have a classic easy (lever clutch handles and chrome racing stripes). Cannot get the thing to drain - pump/belt are spinning freely. Anyone have any ideas? |

Certain models (Grandma's handle model did) had a ball valve on the drain hose, had to be open for water to come out. Purpose was so you could fill the spin tub without switching the handle which would have drained the wash tub long as the motor was on.
My Panasonic (1973) got around that with a standalone pump that switched off when you weren't draining anything. |
