Looks like the Match-All model, a friend used to have this exact machine. No lighted controls but that small rise on the back panel sets it apart from the similar concealed control washer and dryer from around the same time. Didn't the matched set have different dial knobs??
Always thought this was a very attractive dryer and very well featured for it's price point at the time. |

That is a Match All dryer. Mom had one just like it that she bought at an auction for 30 bucks in 82 and actually got 12 years out of it before it died |

But I don't think it's the cupcake. This one had a matching alphabet washer (Geodon had the washer for a short while). I don't know how any short housewife could see the controls recessed in the raised console. The match-all had a more generic vestigial panel with the controls recessed on the left side with a flip down cover.

This dryer has the mechanical design still used today, with the long top-mounted lint screen. I think this is the oldest design presently still on the market. Gary |

I still have the washer, and a matching dryer now, in the other concealed console design. Tim/Macboy is going to get these.
The dryer in the ad may or may not be the match-all (I have never seen a matching washer though), but I do think it has a sliding controls cover, you can see the black handle in the photo. The later match-alls until the mid 70s had a Whirlpool top without the Kenmore trademark indent. Gordon |
