I love to jab Christine (My wife) about her collection of crock pots. This picture shows a very busy cooking day.. We also have a Calphalon crock pot as well which is perfect for those really big jobs, but it's not shown in this photo.

For those of you who wondered, it took us nearly 2 months to plow through this much chili.

Enjoy. :)

Hey Bud, a couple questions.

Is your stove gas or electric?

Why would you use a bunch of crock pots to make the chili in stead of just using one big stock pot on the stove?

And... are you going to share the recipe? Laughing

Our stove is electric. We can't put in a gas stove because the house wasn't designed for it. It's against the law here to install a gas stove without ventilation which doesn't exhaust outside.

Our stove is a bit anemic in the burner dept. It's just a cheap Roper. The voltage going to it is OK, but I'd rather replace it with something that has an inductive and radiant cooktop. (ie. a Hybrid.)

My wife was making four different kinds of chili in this photo. :)

This was probably about six months ago, I don't have the recipe, but I'll ask her and see if she can mail it to me.

Yeah, that's what I'd expect to pay for a stove like that..

Go TOL or go home. :) LOL!
