86 or newer for sure

This is a DD machine. The dead give away was the Dual-Action Agitator. These are built with the same mechanism as the full size DD's so are very well built.

Sort of... These use a different suspension setup that is prone to fatigue/failure with extended use. These use small shock absorbers similar to the upright springs of the BD ones. When I visited John Lefever there were several that the shock nut had worn through the support girder mounting holes, causing the tub fall and lean to whatever side that it broke.

Also these machines unfortunately only spin at the speed of a full-size DD machine. Couple that with a smaller diameter tub at the same speed (lower G's) the extraction is poorer than that of a full-size, which is bad considering the clothes were probably going into a matching 120v dryer. The BD machines spun ~900. Since they were DD an no belt, there was no real way to change the speed without making them different than the full-size machine, which would drive up the cost which to me was an unfortunate turn. Another interesting note is these machines also are all 2-speed units. They run the majority of the wash cycle on slow and use the fast speed for spin. The DA helps a lot, and I can see where this would be required even for the machines. The HEAVY cycle I believe did a fast agitation for the 1st few minutes and then resumed low-speed agitation throughout the wash cycle.

This machine looks to be in good shape, and coupled with a 240v dryer would be reasonable. With the matching 120v dryer, expect 80-90 minutes for a normal load vs. 60 minutes for a load spun out in the portable BD model. I would still take this over a World Washer probably, even though those are bigger mainly due to cost of parts and durability. WW machines have bearing issues that aren't repaired feasibly.
