I saw yesterday that HD here is selling an Ariston washer and dryer pair. I've never heard or seen of them before. For a front loader they're about the lowest priced around here, $699 for the washer, can't remember the dryer price. Not for me anyways, too small and too small a door opening.

Isn't that supposed to be a real POS?

Can you imagine all we have left domestically is Whirlpool (Sears)?

Do you think GE will regain their glory?

Honestly Steve, i hope GE does gain some of the washer market back. As much as i like WP appliances, i would not want to see them as the only US manufacturer left putting out appliances....kinda like saying you can choose any color you want as long as it's white.

I might be on the market for a cheap BOL machine to have for a few years and I dont have any idea what to get.

ME....no idea.....OMG.....

Apparently by the clues I am finding about myself [me,me,me!!], I'm getting old and indecisive (well, better than crotchety!)and the US mkt washer market is geting weird!

So do we all still hate the GE T/L-ers? Which is worse?.... The Fridigdaire T/L or the GE T/L?
