Hi folks!

I'm wanting to switch things up in my laundry room, I'd like to put my LG Tromm FL washer and matching electric dryer on Craigslist for sale. They're from 2004, work perfectly, never had any issues, both in white. Does anyone have any suggestions about how much to ask for either or both?

I realize I'm opening myself up for jokes and jeers about used LG's having the equivalency of appeal and value of a '74 Chevy Vega, so fire away! When that's settled down, I'm going to replace them with vintage top-loader/belt-driven machines, just for the record. : )

Thanks in advance!

Similar Thing

I did a similar thing 2 years ago with an LG set.

At the time, they were less than a year old. I sold them for about half what I paid for them. I figured most modern machines lose a huge chunk of value in the first year when the warantee runs out. Then about 10 percent per year after that.

I guess it depends on how much you paid for them initially.. Anything over $1 was too much... j/k j/k j/k ... :-)

My TOL Top loading GE Washer and dryer set me back about $1700 when I bought them new and they're about the same vintage as yours. They're also somewhat rare too because they have a lot of options you don't normally see in a top loader.

If I wasn't giving them to my mother, I'd ask $400 for the set, but would be sure to put "obo" after it and let the buyer bargain me down to somewhere around $250-$300 for the set.

Then again, that's just IMHO.
