Anyone out there have a service manual for a 1962 frigidaire dishmobile? I need a wiring schematic as well as help on removing the heating element to stop a leak...

Thanks in advance for the help!

i have a frigidaire spin tube

rollermatic's profile picture
dishwasher that i picked up in chicago last year. don't know if the wiring diag for it would help you or not. also not sure what year mine is, i'm thinking it was around 62 also if i remember correctly.

here's a pic of it and also of the heating element on mine. those calrod units just unbolt from underneath, the ends are threaded and a nut holds them tight against the tub. i can check for a wiring diag. if you like.

here's a couple pics of the

rollermatic's profile picture
heating element calrod and how it bolts to the tub frame. i did not have a leak here but i did have one right next to it on the water pressure switch cup that also bolts to the tub. it was easily fixed. i made a new gasket for it.

Thanks for posting all the pics of your dishwasher and the wiring diagrams.

Your machine and especially the racks look to be in excellent condition considering their age.

Have fun with it!

Patrick

In 1963, they made a few improvements, there was an added vent at the right of the lower rack, the upper rack was modified and now rolled on stainless tracks while in 1962, they were still on bakelite tracks. The upper spray arm wasn't there in 1962 either.

thanks for the info

on the cast iron pump housing of mine is stamped a date of nov. 1st 1963! what a month that was for america!

mine also has the small top rinse spray arm and no bakelite rack tracks so i guess mine was purchased in late 63 or in 1964. i drove to chicago and picked it up in march of 2011. i tore it down completely and restored it (all in a previous thread) and it ran perfectly. then i just added it to the collection and hadn't given it much thought till this thread came along. i think i'll install it in the kitchen for awhile and use it on occasion.

i have emailed the owner of this thread (marty) to let him know i found wiring diags.
