I have been in new kitchen hell for about two months. My Kitchen has turned into a nightmare and waaaay over budget to say the least. They found Asbestos in the old Flooring in the Kitchen that was here when the house was new,I had to have that cleaned and well that was not cheap. Then found problems with the electric that had to be redone and well I don't go with the cheapest quote that can cause you huge problems.I knew that I had to expect it to cost because of things unforeseen that is a understatement to say the least.. I wanted and intended to get a new Miele and I will probably wish I had and if this thing breaks down then I will get that T.O.L. Miele but I could not pass up the deal I got at Home depot.I got the T.O.L. Maytag Stainless steel installed and with a extended warranty for 440 bucks. The models are changing and it was too good a deal to pass up.I hope it will wash better than my year and half old G.E. Monogram that cost a ton of money.I did see a commercial where they put a frozen pizza and a cake in it and it to prove it could do that classic test.I will try it I promise that much.I looked at Bosch,Viking,Asko,Etc,I thought the Bosch well some of the racks and the spray arms felt cheap for some reason. They had a 1500 dollar Electrolux marked way down to 600 bucks and there were some nice rack things on it but the reviews are a nightmare. This Maytag has a wash system that has been around for a long time and I was shocked that it can use up to close to 13 gallons of water on the longest cycle so it should be able to clean. It saved some money I just hope I don't regret it.I love Miele dishwashers and will get one when this one goes... |

For the past two years I think that the Maytag machines are rebadged Whirlpools. We bought one of the last true Maytag's in 2009 and they already had the Whirlpool models mixed in. Hopefully this one will clean as well as a true Maytag did. |

Does it have the "Dancing Waters" fountain at the back to "blast" away soil from one pan of your choice? |

I have no idea about the Dancing waters thing I have never heard of that feature.I do have the T.O.L. Model MDB897 something I can't recall the last numbers because it will be installed tomorrow.I don't know what direction Maytag/Whirlpool is trying to take. They are really making sure you know that there is a 4 blade steel grinder in it and the motor power has been increased and the Jetclean and the Toughscrub plus buttons are back. The motor power is 2.7 Amps now, the motors I have seen on other types of Whirlpools and Kenmore have been around 2.1 Amps.I know when Maytag came out with there Tall Tubs they had 1/3 H.P. and they drew 2.2 Amps so maybe they have increased there power I hope so.I just could not pass up a deal like that and they will fix anything even if its lighting or whatever if they can't they will replace it.. So I said what the hell for less than 500 bucks why not and the reviews are not bad.. I did see a L.G. Dishwasher that had it door removed and a light in there to show the wash action and I have to say I was impressed it is more powerful than I thought a whole lot more powerful than any Frigidare I have ever seen.. |

The most important point is "Does it clean to your satisfaction?" |

The heavy wash action is pathetic I thought they were showing the delicate action first, LOL. I would never want any DW where the water from the bottom wash arm will not forcefully reach the ceiling of the machine.
I have taken older KA and WP top loading portables outside and run them with the lid open and the water will go 15-20 feet into the air. |

That's odd the wash was set on strong and was hitting that top so hard that it was shaking the top sprayer. Here is a video with a link you can see it on weak at first then it shows strong. That to me looks stronger than any Frigidaire but that is not saying much LOL. They came to install my Dishwasher,Compactor and Microwave yesterday and told me that because I have granite counters and some crap about my floors that my dishwasher will not fit.Theses install guys had being smoking everything and were COKED out of there mind also I can tell been there done ALL of that.I am on the WARPATH with Homedepot and going back to get my money back today anyway here is that link you can see the dishwasher on weak then strong and that does look like the one I saw kinda..
