Im one of the very few who is in total agreement about Tags, if you have used a Norge or Whirlpool /Kenmore, not to mention a Frigidaire or Kelvinator...a Maytag is LAME! Well built..YES , trouble free...YES...powerful,,,NNNOOOOO! |

IMHO One of the reasons helical drive tags were so reliable, is that they were designed to not really work all that hard. Although, at least they didn't have an anemic spin like WP/KM BD machines. |

I think Maytags work best with the 50hz pulley setup....a little more kick in the agitation and a higher speed spin.....less slippage, more action
