Ever since I scored a turquoise set of Maytags, my love for vintage washing machines has grown...I've scoured the isolated depths of Craigslist in my home state and here's what I've found.....*gasp*

Is Indiana close enough? I have a set of electronic SQ's I just picked up. Haven't plugged them in, condition unknown.

Its amazing how many of these Kenmore washers and dryers still have the "Sears Best" sticker on them. Even the stickers were of high quality...

Oh my! The Frigidaire dryer looks like it would be a match for my 63 Deluxe washer! Of course I'd have to have the washer cabinet repainted turquoise to match - as if THAT would be a problem... LOL

Colorado is a bit far, though, even for someone who has had machines shipped up from as far away as Florida...

These are getting pretty rare, hope someone here gets them, I already have a brown pair. If someone in the club gets these I will give them the missing button for the dryer.

Thanks, I never knew there was an all-pushbutton Tag. The techno panels must have been ahead of their time because mfr's reverted to dials for a long time before techno came back.

Wow, so much to chose from.

I like the pale yellow color of the stove.

Nice screen name, too!

The Maytag Pair

...are sold!

Hope somebody in AW got them.

The owner says they just sold to "some guy" in Minnesota.

Congratulations to whomever the proud new owner is!

GE range

The correct name for this color is Canary Yellow. The Sunny Yellow that Louis mentioned is the name for Frigidaire's later yellow (after Stratford Yellow).

Thanks, Louis, and others for the help on the colors.

Canary Yellow.

I traded in my obsession with 80s Toast and Platinum for 60s Canary Yellow, Candy Pink, and the lite blue color.

Isn't there another name for the pink shade.   Something like carmichael Pink or Carnation Pink?  Canoga Park Pink(lol).

What is the formal name for the blue color?

Were these colors shaded on the edges?
