Guess the Washer but don't get too excited because it's a well known one.

Oooooops, sorry for the duplicated post....

Robert, can you fix it please? I'm not an upgraded member yet (going to be soon) so I couldn't delete my mistake.

No it's not a Servis. I've lost count on the amount of times i've ordered these handles in for customers.

cool, in 2004, we were going to buy the 7.5kg hoover nextra, but we had a better deal on the hoover family mega load 1300, so we got that instead, it lasted 2 years with daily use :(

My cosin has the HNL 7146. Same machine with 1400rpm spin. I was talking to her one afternoon whilst she was emptying her wash and she snapped the door handle with normal force! It was repaired as she has got extended cover on it.

It is flimsy, so they're bound to break easily.

Nextra door handle

optima's profile picture
Up until a few months back we could only get a genuine door handle replacement from Candy but now a non-genuine handle is available, so it must be a common weekness on these Nextra's

That's Nextra 2006 Series

haxisfan's profile picture
I often thought that the door handle on Nextra/Smart is a potential weekness as I noticed how it's widely available as a spare... you can get it everywhere... even on eBay ;-)

However, for some strange reason the handle in my Nextra is still intact... maybe it was stronger in the 2004 series. There's is another rather weak plastic part in mine which is becoming weaker by the minute and I expect it to break at any minute... it's the plastic retainer that stops the detergent drawer to slide out of its slot when pulled out. As a matter of fact, there's a small crack by the plastic hook in question, and it's enough to pull the drawer out with a smidgen of extra force that the whole thing comes out. It's good for cleaning though... so I take it out and dry it after every wash.

When Nextra was revised in 2006 (UK only, as far as I've seen, other markets kept similar options as mine throughout their production), I was rather disappointed to see the changes from as most cycles and features had been altered, especially the one I'm particularly keen on... which was a button pre-wash function (which gave a higher water level 1st wash) that could be used in many cycles and could also be combined with the 'quick' option to give a different cycle. However, having done my research, I found that this newer model wasn't that bad after all, offering different options that mine didn't have... e.g. 'Stain Blaster' option which produces a higher water level main wash and can also be combined with other options (this is a feature found in most of today's Hoovers).

Laters :-)

My school has a Bosch Classix 1000 Express... Simular to your bosch but with a lower spin speed.

Nextra

Haxifan.

I much prefer the layout of your Nextra, especially having the seperate option button if you require a prewash. It should be up to the user if you want a pre-wash. A boil wash & a 50deg wash is enough without the need of a pre-wash before the main wash. Can't work out what goes through the programme designers at Candy.
