This is really a great scan. I didnt realize that hotpoint had a pressure fill on their TOL models at that time and I also wonder why they stopped the recirculation filter. We had a 1955 BOL model than had a 1961 almost BOL model very simular to the LW40 in this scan. The 1st one we had lasted over 6 years and a bit more durable than the 1961 model. That one only lasted 5 years with a few major repairs. They washed really well but werent very durable machines. They had very interesting style and fuction.
I was always interested in the condenser drying models they offered. I would still love to see more specs on them.
Peter
