Does anyone know of someone who works on this type of machine? Model 6702901D00 Stock #7290 Serial No. 14673C642(Lady Kenmore beige and white wringer washer 2 cycle)

The washer is in excellent shape and works well, but the rollers won't turn and they are making humming sound. Please respond to this inquiry if you can lead me in the right direction to get it fixed...we bought it second hand and used it several times when I ran something too big through the rollers and it broke something in the roller part. I use it for rugs and farm work clothes. Miss using this nice machine!

Have you pushed the release, and separated the rollers, and reset? I can't help much my wringer is a Maytag, but someone will come along here that knows! And, or has a operating manual for Kenmore's, that addresses that problem.

I wish I could help,

but have limited experience, only taking off whole wringer heads. The Maytag and Visimatic Wringers have never failed me. Knock on wood. I hope you get it going, Ask your favorite Appliance Repair Shop if they have a contact who can repair Kenmore wringers. Follow the leads.

Just in case you don't know: the reset Stan is talking about is along the side of the chrome on a Visimatic; it blends right into the big feeding tray, and you have to look to find it. You pull the latch forward like a rip-cord, and the wringer resets. Maybe you just popped the wringer and nothing is broken at all.

I just went and checked: the handle is just below the wringer control on the right. It's part of the frame and ends just around the back of the wringer; that's where you pull from.
