guess what i found? and after bitchin that i never find anything anymore this turns up. the guy even brought it over to the house. i did a little rewire to fix the rotten wires and changed all the rubber hose that was rotten also, then today i did a test run and she works just fine. runs a full cycle with no leaks. she is gonna need a new inlet valve cause she fills to slow but thats it

What a beautiful machine! Is it a 1957 Princess? I just love and covet that dial. If you ever take the cover off, would you post a photo or two of that dial? It looks like a rinse dispenser was optional on this model. Also, is that the original silverware basket that comes in two pieces?

SLOW FILLING INLET VALVE

It is easy on the style valve used on this machine to dissemble it and replace the rubber valve seal and be sure that the inlet screen is clean, this will restore full water flow.

What a beaut!  Chris, you found a real treasure there!   I do love the old pull-outs - it's nice to see with one with an intact cabinet!

Funny about the solenoid - the one on my 59 and 55 pull-outs were both shot.

The tub and racks look pristine!  The flatware basket still has all the original cushion coating!!   Great save!!!

SLOW FILLING INLET VALVE

The key isn't so much the cleaning as replacing a worn out part, I would not waste time taking inlet valves apart and just cleaning if they are not working correctly, without replacing the bad parts.

Very nice, Chris! Will you put this in the kitchen for a while? I still remember being dazzled by your Westinghouse portable - the pictures don't do his work justice, it really is quite amazing!!
