I'd seal them in a ziplock bag and store them in a cool dark drawer.

Have a Strong or Potts film platter? They use vacuum belts on the outside of the wheels that drive the underside of the platters. | ||

The shoe boxes under the bed is fine, but the belts should also be in plastic bags so they don't dry out.

For the vacuum cleaner belts to cleaners in my collection-use them fast enough so no worries about them drying out. | ||
